3min40sec So in order to pay for this old car I have to come up with another $1500 this month, (True Story) plus the repairs it needs, I have two jobs, the mall and my waitress job. This restaurant is part of a shopping complex and about half the employee parking and kitchen entrance backs up to this parking garage. You know my car is not working well, and offer to cone off a spot right behind the the outdoor walk-in refrigerator and the back door to the employee entrance. It's late, you offer to come help me with my car after work. You also don't want me alone back there, so I know you have been watching me try to start my car for several days now. It's not easy to start, and that's an understatement.

4min38sec So the girl that had let me test drive this car, (which I ended buying) warned me that short tries when it's cold seems to help. She warned that if it dies, often times it won't restart, the choke light comes on all the time too. But it basically sat in a garage most of it's life, and she believes it has bad gas. I love it, and this is just a nice driving clip of me taking it easy, with my old vintage sandals. It is so nice, but it is very sluggish when I press the gas down. Wait it's sputtering I think!

3min19sec Part 1 So Scary Parking garage very late night after work, unreliable old car. Anxiety is what happens every time I approach my car now, and I hate the garage, because it echoes. Never do I park in here it is too creepy, but it was raining today, so... I got some advice from a one of you guys, he said that the best way for me to start it, is to pump it slowly several times then hold it to the floor. Maybe talk nice to it too...Just make sure I get enough gas to it between tries, so slow or even fast pumps, vary it between 2 to say 12 pumps between tries, then hold it down to the floor. He wanted me to report on how that works and let him know if the car was still acting up. Well, GUESS WHAT!

I was going to meet my friends out for a night of dancing and a few drinks. The car would not start, so I left it and my friend picked me up and out we went. About 6 hours later, I was depressed and a bit tipsy, knowing I would have no way to work the next morning...so what happens when two girls grab cell phones and document the car not starting late after a few drinks. 3min30sec OMG! This can't be happening, in this clip I am trying it over and over quickly, and it's not starting back up. It had been dying occasionally and restarting ever since I left work. This back road was meant to keep my off the main drag, but I am completely lost, and do not even know which way to turn the road just ended at a tee, and I am stalled right at the end. My shoes are off, my glasses are off, my hose are pumping and it is not starting back up. It sounds like it wants to go, come on car!

3min Well, thankfully I got the old mustang going in my damp little pink flats and hose, this little special edition clip also features a little shoe and hose struggle as I get my flats off while making sure to hold the brake and not let the engine die again. I hope when I finally hit the road that I do not get lost because I am not sure whether I even remember what that guy said.

3min2sec So I am back at the mall in my mustang, having finally gotten it started, I am sitting there in my pink flats and hose, letting the engine calm down and getting some instructions on the best back road home. There are several new roads, and I do not know them, but as long as I get the right one it should be easy the security guard tells me. He also tells me to drive with two feet, which might make it easier to keep the engine from dying. First I have to drive all the way to the other side of the mall to get to this back way out, I am on my way!

4min42sec I had some really nice messages from several of you about both my morning ritual trying to get my car to start and suggestions about helping my old mustang to start. So It always takes me several minutes to get it to go, and then sometimes, I guess I make a mistake and it dies on me. When that happens it is nearly impossible to start. So I placed some cameras where you can see the exhaust fumes, my pedals, me of course LOL, and the front of the car so you can really listen to it too. Let me know what you think.

When we last left off, I had been trying to get it started, it was really coming close but just not quite starting. So I went back in the mall for a while to give it a break. I guess if it doesn't start in a few more minutes. I will go inside the mall again and give it a break. 4min46sec After a short break I am back, so this little clip came from a recent custom. At this point, I have been in my boots all day. After a huge struggle cranking in my hot boots, it starts. So I decide to let the car idle, as I take my hot damp feet out of my boots. The engine is sputtering and dies as I put my tired foot on the pedal, even though I was feathering the gas pedal with my toes. My wet feet flood the engine out immediately, and it is now dark!

They will get really fun for you guys, wait till you see what happened to me later on candid camera, it is later in this first series. This little series, has lots of problems with cameras and lighting, and sound even a couple of cameras malfunctioned during my cute idea. But it is still really a cute little series. The concept is that you are along for a day in the life with me. Like for real, the cameras capture both my car's behavior and mine. Today, I am off to the store for a bit of shopping. 4min44sec Here is a clip from a real day in the life of me and the Oldsmobile. So I took my friend with me shopping, she was teasing me about my clunker. Anyway, it is almost sunset, we get in and it smells like gas and it will not start. So I tell her to get out of the car and take some video of me from the side and front on her phone. I also shoot some from the inside, she knows I am weird about my old cars. Anyway, I get a little mad at her, because it is not funny that it won't start. I did tell her that I can use the footage for my mechanic friends (you guys) to tell me what is wrong with my car. In the end, it catches and you hear it sputtering.

3min40sec I am officially driving a 1982 Oldsmobile. I had to pick it up after work last night, and it was quite a process. I had worked all day, took a cab to the place where it had been sitting for a couple of years. I had already driven it once, and while it has been neglected it is going to be my new daily car, it had been owned by a retiree and then it was left to a granddaughter. It was parked in a carport, they left me the keys, in the car. This is my first night trying to get it home. I look tired after all day at work, sorry. The neighbor next door heard me in the dark last night trying to get it started, of course he waited until I had a dead battery. So he brought his battery charger over, he was a retiree too, and then he stayed with me and tinkered under the hood. He said the gas was really bad. Anyway, he held something under there and kept telling me to turn the key. And it started, I was too afraid to stop for gas, it had almost a full tank, he said to get new gas put in it. But it made it all the way home after he helped me, almost an 1 1/2 hour drive. It was rough running, but it is here. Again, the footage is kind of fuzzy and the cameras had trouble getting a focused shot, but it was done as though you were in the car with me, since this was our first time in it! I am so excited.

3min26sec Okay, some words about this clip. A few years ago, a custom was made called NICOLES CARWAS DISTRESS! Yes, I posted a couple of clips from it. However, that particular custom was about 60 minutes long. Also, a number of members had also asked for involvement in the custom, only they wanted something slightly different. So, since the car was completely unreliable many different variations were created as you spent the day watching me attempt to run around town in my sluggish, sputtering clunker. The Pontiac was scary and unpredictable, with plenty of me in panicky situations. The total time was about 300 minutes. So trust me, you may think you have seen some of this before, and bits here and there you will have, but for the most part it has never been posted before. Plus, certain scenes will cater to more of a particular request. The first clip is kind of blurry, it was dark and I need to get out of the garage, this is only a slight change from the first time it was posted, but it will get real interesting I promise!

4min10sec So after a long difficult time I am back, and trying to do this thing by myself. I have tons of material that was only partially shown over the years to share. More on that in the forum later. For now, I am really tight on money and my current car is literally broken at the repair shop. The repair guy feels bad for me and has loaned me this van with more than 200,000 miles on it. He won't start the repairs on my car until I have the money...anyway, It looks okay, but it barely runs. He told me the whole engine on the van was messed up and he could make it run, but it would require pumping to start like my broken car. He said, that the van engine was not meant to run this way, but it would be okay for running around town...I think he really meant for stalling around town. I am saving up to get my engine rebuilt, or to simply get another car.

Now, I have followed your advice and pump it lots between tries and mostly hold it to the floor after lots of pumping. It is real close to catching! 5min17sec Oh my, sorry for the delay, NEW SERIES... in the middle of the last series my starter thing stopped working and the key would not make the engine try anymore. So, I had to get the car fixed and the cameraman has been out of town. He called someone and I had a new starter put in, the car sounds different, I hope it is alright, but it sounds like it is flooded right away from the first key turn. I hope they did it right. I took the cameras myself on this little journey to the woods where I am checking out a piece of weird property. It is a remote cabin on this side road kind of near an interstate overpass. The mercury capri is driving very sluggishly, and definitely does not like to idle. When I take my foot off the pedal it likes to just stop running. It is also smelly like hot steam. But I make it to the cabin barely. I call someone to come get me, because I feel creepy outside and fear my car will never start again. We argue and he hangs up on me. So I wait again a few minutes and try to be sweeter on my next call... I am just scared and want to be picked up. I was suppossed to meet this property owner out here, and he is not here. It feels like he is watching me from the woods. We end up arguing again, so I gather up the courage to go and see if the car is willing to go anywhere, but I am worried it has overheated and driving it will only ruin it. What should I do?

Then he hooks it up to a charger thing, you do not see him of course, it is from your perspective as though you are helping. A member wants my Bass Sandals, in the meantime, he was curious if I wear them to the gym and have I ever stalled out in them after my workouts. I typically, wear them before, and after my workouts like really almost exclusively, and usually wear them after my jog on the treadmill. That is I wear them for my cool down walk, so this series, starts with two short clips, in a condensed time sequence at the gym which is located where I work, often at night. For whatever it is worth, we have a shopping plaza and resort hotel connected together. It also has a parking garage which you have seen me stranded in many times.

I guess you were texting or something, but, I need to get this nearly dead battery to start my flooded car. While we wait for it to start, I tell you stories about how flooded my car has been getting lately. If it does start, I worry it may stall out on the highway with you in my backseat.
